EpcotServo's April 22nd DAK Update: Safaribration 10!

Hey everyone! Yesterday was a fantastic day of celebrating 10 years of great details, strong messages, and no Air Conditioning! Took lots of pictures of all the big events (297 pictures to be exact.) 88 of those came out alright. These be they! First, the news and reviews and such.

Animal Kingdom

-First of all, props must be given to anyone (Both at Disney, and at WDW Celebrations.) who worked on this event. Everything went off like clockwork, and no big problems whatsoever. The Opening Ceromony was great, and the presentation by Joe Rhode was amazing. All the events were great fun. (Even being stuck on CTX for nearly a half hour.)

-The 10th merch was great too! Though some of it was a strech. Golf balls? Mini beer mugs? (For a very tiny drunk person who loves Animal Kingdom?)

-The new (ish) mist effect on the peak of Forbidden Mountain was on, and looked great! I took two (very hard to see) videos from my camera. Again, you can just barely see it, but here they are.

It really looks great, and it should look best on humid days when the wind is blowing at a good pace. Hopefully it will work for a long time, and not go the way of the Hollywood Tower Hotel sign's spark effect.

EpcotServo's April 15th EPCOT/STUDIOS Update: Cold Pictures

Hey everybody. Yesterday was a fantastic day at the parks, thanks in part to the amazingly cold weather. So here's some news, Updates, and cold pictures!

EPCOT

-Spaceship Earth rundown! It was down all morning, but reopened later. The Yourfacemotron was not working. The printer in the big newspaper room DOES have a new face. The lighted wires are also now WHITE, not blue. They did tweak some of the narration too. At the post show, the random computer screens around the area are now working, they just have infromation on future-stuff and a way to send the Spaceship Earth homepage to your e-mail adress.

-It was crowded at both parks.

-No soundtrack found anywhere.

-I've found some of WDI's Kim Possible interactions back in action. Solid evidence of it returning bigger and better!

STUDIOS

-They've built a stage for something infront of Coaster.

-Nothing new to see from our side of the Pixar Place fence.

EpcotServo's April 10th MK Update: Kingdom Krowds

Hey once more all you interweb-readers! Went for a quick morning trip to kingdom to get my Haunted Mansion/Big Thunder/Pirates fix taken care of. As a huge surprise, it was PACKED. I've been there on crowded holidays, and this was just as bad! Here's more...

KINGDOM

-I present to you, my new comedy skit..."It might be really crowded at the Magic Kingdom, IF..."

If you're given a FLIK card before waiting in the line to ORDER FOOD.....It might be really crowded at the Magic Kingdom.

If the line at Big Thunder that streches out the main queue building is the FASTPASS RETURN line.....It might be really crowded at the Magic Kingdom.

If the large line streching across the street in Adventureland is for THE SWISS FAMILY TREEHOUSE.....It might be really crowded at the Magic Kingdom.

All running-joke-tagline-catchphrases aside, it was very crowded. We were there early, so we were able to get around the bulk of it though.

-All you Harbor House fans get ready for a shock. First it was the strips, now they are after your fries. So awhile ago, back in december to be exact, I had gotten a cup of fries there. And to my surprise, they were not the normal "new" fries. Skip to today, at my next meal there, and they are still not the correct fry. They are now rather large (not quite Steak Fries, but in the same style) huge, blocky, fries. Not even half as good as the other fry style that is now used throughout WDW. As a big Harbor House fan, I'm very upset about this. Oh, and as a Chicken-Update, you can now get them in 6 Pc. and 8 Pc. They were more nugget-ish at Harbor House than the ones I had had at other places. Combine that with the the imposter-fries, and it was the first time I missed the Chicken Strips.

-As reported elsewhere, there are new Haunted Mansion T-Shirts.

-I looked everywhere at kingdom (And at World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy.) for the 2008 Album, to no avail. Nobody at World of Disney OR Once Upon a Toy knew what I was talking about.

EpcotServo's April 7th STUDIOS Update: Block Party Bash calls AAA!

Hey there everyone! I'm back at the parks, and it's updatetime! There's a LOT of pictures, so let's get right to the newsofacts...

STUDIOS

-A lot of the road signs are changed to the new name. Still a few though.

-There is also alot of DHS merch now, in case you didn't know. Though still some MGM stuff. There's also a Block Party Bash shirt for kids (and I think adult sizes, didn't check.) at the toy shop on Hollywood Blvd.

-Crowds were medium. Not bad, but still a little crowded.

-It looked like there was some kind of toy theming back in Pixar Place. Hard to tell what though, just something yellow.

-WALL-E is now featured at Animation! Yay!

-Block Party Bash is still great, but today after the first show stop, one of the block floats refused to budge come Roll Out time. They had to call the infamous "Parade Tower" to come and tow the float the rest of the way. Have to give mad props to the cast, this whole time (quite a while) they kept dancing and interacting with the crowd, and singing along to the music. How they had energy in the heat to do another show stop is beyond me. Great work everybody! Hardest working cast in the parade business, that's for sure.

The real folk blues...

Hello internet friends. Me again. (You're like "This guy? Really?") So did you make it through today? April 1st is the day the internet stops. Thankfully, it wasn't too bad. Anyways, I've been re-watching Cowboy Bebop again, and boy did I forget that not only is that a great anime, it's also one of the best shows ever.

Sigh. Anyhooo, there was some "Ghost" pictures taken by a "Orlando United" site. They weren't really good enough to post here, so if you want to see them, look it up. I think the picture that I "took" came out better...
