EpcotServo's Updates #2.95- Center Nova
Hey everybody, it's update-time-EPCOT-time! Let's get on with it, if we're planning too!
EPCOT
-Crowds and weather both mild!
-Journey cover band at Sounds Like Summer was awesome to the max.
-So much stuff at Energy needs fixing. So much.
-NewTestTrack is still so good, but TruckLasers weren't working.
-You can watch the World Cup Thingie at the Odyssey if that's your GOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLL
-Impressions De Fronce is still just the best!
-If you follow my tweetings, then you may remember my posts about "Hako Vision", which is a little box with a Pepper's Ghost effect using projection mapping that you get by scanning a QR code on the side. It turns your phone into a projection mapping, Pepper's Ghost Gundam show and is like the best! Well now they have them at Japan pavilion! Go, go buy them!
-Great new Soarin' merch at Soarin'
-Fun things are fun!
OK, that's all for this and that, now on to the pictures!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.94- Gem and the Holograms
Hey everybody and welcome to another Update! As always, we start with the words and whatnot!
STUDIOS
-Weather hot, crowds medium.
-Star Wars Weekends! Organized pretty well this year from what I could tell, though the merch was better in the tent than the soundstage. Met Steve Blum, the voice actor of Spike Spiegel which was amazing!
-Student film groups were filming on the Streets of America which was interesting!
-Also they were filming Rebels B-Roll.
KINGDOM
-Crowds medium, weather was night. Night weather.
-Fastpass still working alright, came in around 8 and got Fastpasses for Mansion at 9 and Big Thunder at 10:45-11:45.
-Astro Orbiter is Astro-gone.
-Mine Train! Really fun. Got two rides in, and best of all two people jumped out of our car at load on the second ride, so we got to just really get it swinging side to side (yo) which was alot of fun. My only gripe is the interactive portions of the queue, which are nice but feel like an inescapable playground. The outdoor queue is really nice though, so there's that. It ain't no 20K, but I guess it's my favorite thing in the whole expansion.
-Got to ride Mine Train twice, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Big Thunder, Pooh, and Mad Tea Party twice. Nine rides in two hours, whichisnotbadifIdosaymyself!
-Oh, nice things are nice
-No flash pictures in the mine thankfully, but one or two people drinking from the musical thing. THERE'S A DRINKING FOUNTAIN RIGHT NEXT TO IT!@ - @
-Peoplemover is under rehab. Meh.
-For fun.
OK, that's about all, except for the rest of it!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.89- Let It Snoap
Hey there and Happy Holidays again my friends! Time for one more Update before the new year, to get you in the Spectacle kind of mood! Read on, using the adjacent clicker device on your computer or laptop type device!
STUDIOS
-Crowds mild to heavy, weather mild
-Things are getting so efficient at WDW, that nothing is efficient. Everything is full, utilized, time-managed, and over-thought. It seems like since full integration, the MCP system has everything gridlocked into rigid conformity that makes everything slow and efficient. If ALL the people have Fastpasses it just means every street is packed and every queue is empty and near-stationary. Pbbbbt.
-For instance, Star Tours is now distributing Fastpass windows that are for RIGHT NOW. So weird.
-Spectacle is still great
-STUDIOS!
-SEASONS GREETINGS!
-STUFF!
-And other things, too.
OK, that's about it...Now to the Pictures!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Update #2.84- The Epdays Are Just PACKED
Heya everyone and welcome to more Update! Please follow the words to the picturezone making room available to the internets visitors coming in behind you.
EPCOT
-Great weather and low crowds!
-First time using the turnstyle-free entry boopers. It's pretty nice, albeit very Doctor Who Cyber-Monster Creepy. It's fast and easy though.
-Starbucking
-Test Track exterior loop has gotten some exterior signage along the exterior loop, including a nice Progress City tribute right after exiting into the outside.
-NewTrack is still great and all the effects were working.
-Illuminations does have a new alternating blink effect with all the countries popcorn lights.
-It's also still such a perfect show.
-Japan has some cheap Totoro fans perfect for the Ghibli fan on a hot day! Instabuy for lots including me.
-Eperfection
OK that's about it, on to the Pictures!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.72-Everything's Coming Up EPCOT
Hey there everyone! Updatetime again, now the first Updatetime of the year from EPCOT! Click on, fellow internet people.
EPCOT
-Crowds low, Weather Fine
-EPCOT at full EPCOT power.
-Soarin' Walk-On in the morning! Straight to B-1! Sets the mood of the day.
-New Test Track still freaking fantastic. Crowdflow worked exceptionally this time, straight from Design Room to Load, no crowding. Only things not working was one of the Hologram screens in the queue, 3/4ths of the Score sceens on the ride still not displaying your vehicles, and the onboard screen acting wonky as they usually do. In the postshow, all's working well. Only thing that needs to be added is the "take your picture with your design" stations, as they still don't let you choose your design.
-Seriously though, new Test Track is just fantastic.
-Mission Space. Still fun. Graphics/infinity screen looked clean and good. Force Feedback Joysticks a'Workin', buttons a'beepin!
-Maelstrom could really use some upgrades and new effects.
-Got to have linner at Teppan Edo. REALLY great. Fantastic cast, chief, and food!
-The Impressions De France digital restoration looks amazing, this has been said.
-But seriously, TWO people were taking FLASH pictures of Impressions De France. What. The. Why.
-The new bakery is open, looked crowded/popular.
-The IBM THINK exhibit in Innoventions opened, and is pretty cool. I missed the message statement film, so the content was a little fuzzy for me, but it's stated quite well and has plenty of cool EPCONTENT to enjoy. Realtalk: I spent most of my time frustratingly trying to put an icon in a basket in order to win a button. I will be back to win more buttons and learn more THINK-ey stuff.
-The Lava/Magma was missing from Universe of Energy, and the attacking Dinosaur static. Not good show.
-Whilst it was a tremendously EPCOT-spirited-day, It makes all the clearer for more original-intentioned shows in Imagination and Energy. Also I note, the general public seems to like songs again. We were a bit jaded with them in the 90's, but let's bring back the energy songs/Listen to the Land/Original songs.
-Seriously, great day.
-EPCOT.
OK, that's all for the words-now onwards to the Pictures!
ENJOY!
^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.69-The Most Wonderful Time of The Year
IT'S THE MOST...WONDERFULLLL TIMEEE OF THE YEAAARRRR! And Merry Holidays to you all, we got a short and sweet Kingdom stuff for you, so click on!
KINGDOM
-OK, so you never really have to click on, just keep reading. Doesn't sound as cool, does it?
-Crowds were low, weather windy
-Parade Taping was fun. Of course, it's all live...in your region.
-Peoplemover seemed to be a little bjorked, with a large gap and the trains at Load rushing up and bumping on to the next train with a jolt. Strange.
-They've made the Mermaids at Pirates show up on the right side of the flume a little more. It's still really cool, but I'm not sure if it was better when it projected less. But then again, there was one whole ride last time I didn't even see any, so it was needed. And is still really cool.
-Little Mermaid is still going fine
-It's a tiny world, it seems
-Finally saw Country Bears. Really didn't like. It's like the reader's digest version, there's just a whole lotta' charm and wit lost in those five minutes they edited out and the show doesn't hold up as well ironically, being the reverse effect as intended.
-BUT...AHolycrap, new Test Track is AWESOME.
-I mean, really, REALLY AWESOME.
-I hope to have pictures and further words on how fantastic it is, later.
-More then.
-Hello!
-Pictures now.
OK, that's about it for that-Continue onwards!

EpcotServo's Updates #2.68-Pushing the Sky
Heya everybodya, and welcome to YET another Update! This has been the biggest week of Updates ever, so click on and enjoy while the Updatin's good!
EPCOT
-Weather good, Crowds nominal
-The Food and Booze has ceased it's Festival-ing
-Jazz
-Test Track's work is startin' to come together from the outside, cycling nightly
-Japan Pavilion
-Words
STUDIOS
-Weather coolish to warmish, Crowds getting Crowded-er
-PIRATES! So the show soft opened for the first time today for guests, and I enjoyed it immensely. Basically it takes the Narnia space which throughout the history of the Studios has usually consisted of no more than a set and a screen. Now the set and the screen have come together, and with a modest budget, the attraction is a worthy little D-Ticket show that won't date and is immensely cool for any Pirate fan. First of all, the Excommunicated Skull from our Pirates is the host of the show, and the entire preshow is a giant cool updated version of the talking skull spiel.
There's been some comment on the voicework which is fair, but I love the talking skull because it sounds (and looks) like the blue-eyed skeleton robot, Geoff Peterson. Now the one gripe about voicework I would make is the Davy Jones sound alike not sounding too on-model.
Now the star of the show is that the entire set is one giant lighting/projection piece, so what doesn't capture on video is all the details in the show because of that. (For instance, Jack pops the cap of a bottle with his teeth, and when he spits it out you see it hit the wall) The entire show is like that, and is kind of like a newage Circlevision film. The big picture is nice, but the details make it entertaining for all. The other thing I've heard online is the idea of the participation being stupid, but it really isn't. As someone who hates that kind of thing, it's not anything like that. It's more like applause queues, it just helps make the show a less passive experience.
Now the actual Jack Sparrow is incredible, and worth a visit for alone. Imagine the queue projections at Forbidden Journey, but the lead of the show with a MUCH better setup and even MORE realistic.(For instance, Jack Sparrow actually has a shadow, a new trick for this using technique.)
Sorry, I've got away a bit. I really like Studios and Pirates, and hated Narnia, so I'm very pleased my prediction of the building sitting empty was turned into something really quite cool. Also neat thing I learned: Pretty much most of the props are from the films. The candles, the Aztec chest, The corset, and pretty much everything else. It's a change of pace from the usual Studios use of props under glass. There are none in the exit hall because they are all used in the ride. And the Black Pearl is the centerstage of the show, with water crashing over her bow. So that's about it, don't watch the videos, get there early, and enjoy it. It ain't no huge expansion, but it's a significant improvement over the space's usage for the last 20 years, and is a fun little show with a large amount of neat details and technology.
There's nothing to shill, There's nothing to foam, so There's also literally no reason to bitch about this.
-Tower has an Apollo 13 rig to get the Oxygen from the Bell Tower into the Ride Capsule for the return to Earth.
-They've replaced all the blacklights in RNR and the ride is crazy bright.
-I think that's it
-Is that it?
-Oh yea, see Lincoln, Skyfall, and Wreck-It-Ralph while you're at it
-OK, that's it.
ALRIGHT, off of the words and on to the pictures!
Enjoy!^^

-SCOOP! Star Tours is Awesome
-Spectacle has switched on, and is quite spectacle as usual
-The canopy again seems better and better each year
-There needs to be more STAR TOURS specific merchandise, after the Starspeeder there's been nothing that actually says Star Tours.
-Pirates (Non-MK Version) exterior Mural is looking great, and you have the official seal of "Servo doesn't make stuff up [aside from when he's not making stuff up about not-important stuff]" seal to prepare yourself for some good stuff on the inside.
-LIGHTS
-TRON Uprising is a really good show
-Yep
OK, That's about it for the Insider Scoop Magic Mouse Weekly Roundup of all the ParkStuff. It's looking like 2013 is going to be an exciting time for Wisconsin Cheese Enthusiasts.
LINK START and Enjoy! ^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.65-The Living Daylights Savings Time
Hey peeps-und-peoples, and welcome to YET another Update! They just keep comin' along and I invite you to check em' all out. Let's go!
EPCOT
-Weather very nice, Crowds very crowded
-Epcot Evening: At Full Epcot
-Test Track's new canopy is in action
-They're also cycling said Test Track at night
-The Chew & Booze event brings in quite alot of people, many need to "keep thine shit together man"
-There's still a scattering of Epcot 30 pins and merch, including the Day-Of shirt.
-The World Showcase shirts are all still at the Villiage Outpost
-In the VoidScape ending of Spaceship Earth there was a very bright new star curtain. Not sure if new or just new light bulb.
-Whatever you think of the Spaceship Earth ending, I overheard a kid say something along the lines of "Our future was so funny"-Which gives an Epcotist the moral quandary of not thinking the future should be funny, and having kids actually have some measure of enjoyment when considering the future. Hmmm
-American Adventure is always so good
-Epcot, great park at night, or greatest park at night?
OK, that's about it. On to the galleryorama!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.64-Announce and Rollout
Hey there peoples of peopledom, it's time for more Update, so GLITCH: REBOOT!
UNIVERSAL
-ANNOUNCEMENT! The announcement was pretty fantastic. Well teased in the evening by soundbites of a transmission interrupting the show announcements. It was pretty cool, and I love these one-day-only-had-to-be-there-events like this. I wish all parks would do it like this and announce to the PEOPLE of the park rather than beyond a closed off event-area. It should be for the peeps in the park as much as the media!
-I'm pretty excited for Transformers. I can understand an intense and rational apathy of aversion to the movies, but Transformers are pretty darn cool. They just are. Giant Robot Charter of 1862 says so. You should be excited for this.
-Cinematic Spectacular lasers are laseriffic and make the show even better
-Horror makeup show is a great little classic Universal gem to see every now and again.
-LoudSpinnyJumbotron, where did you go, and why is it quieter at CityWalk now?
-The walkaround Transformers will be worth your time as well.
-Wreck-It-Ralph is in theaters. GO SEE IT. You WILL enjoy. IMMENSELY.
-Crowds were light, Weather seasonably cool, Stars out at night, +/- Cloudy or bright
-Universal, I'm happy for you, and ImmaLetYouFinish, but Firehouse Subs makes the BEST BROWNIES of ALL TIME.
-There are like SO many cranes you don't even know
-I forgot what I was talking about
-Oh yeah, Disney bought Star Wars was a thing happened
-Motorcycle was working again at Terminator since last I updated it was not.
-Wait, what?
OK, That's about all for that. To THIS you boldly go!
ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.61- Ride Art Online
Hey there peoples! Let's switch to a new Update exploring new stuff, shall we? SWITCH!
KINGDOM
-Crowds were crowded to "meh, s'alright"
-Weather was nice and warm, to just plain nice and lovely
-Fantasyland was new, and open.
-So ALOT of people have been comparing all this to Tokyo DisneySea, but after conferring amongst others I feel I agree with another conclusion-Whilst the quality is on par, it's nowhere near the scale or the content. It's just all rather small and either a great small ride or a restaurant or meet n' greet or something. The lead-up is great but there still really isn't all there much to do unlike a Carsland/Potterland. Now it might be different once the largest ride is done, but opening it without it as they are, it does detract from any kind of comparison to stuff like that. Because one side is amazing, but as soon as you exit that thing, you're looking at construction. It'll be great but the poor phasing of it all is a big detraction.
-The REAL star of the whole expansion, as it is with most of WDW, is our reliance on Fastpass meaning WDI gets money to do a lengthy and lavish Standby line you shouldn't technically have to wait in. But along with Everest and Midway Mania, this is one of WDW's star queues for sure in it's ambitious length and detail. And the best part for sure is the return of water, palm trees, rocks, and sand to the area.
-Speaking of which...I'd still take 20K thankyouveramuch
-But this is finally the not that bad thing to be the bad thing to replace 20K
-Also, and in a VERY rare case, and my most glowing compliment: Our ride is better than DCA's. Yes!
-I tried the TotallyNotButterbeer drink, and have to say it was alright, probably healthier, but still just frozen apple juice. Just TotallyNotButterbeer. And worst of all from a service standpoint in the COMPLETELY unreasonable pricepoint. Both are about $5, but whereas butterbeer was like a few dollars more for something that is THEME and gets you cheaper refills elesewhere, here it's a cool $10 for drink and cup and unlike Butterbeer the cups just look cheap and out of place. What the heck happened here, management? It's a pretty simple idea: Pricey specialty drink nobody needs, sell them all on it by offering a slightly cheaper souvenir that makes them feel at home in the land. The price point blows all of that, let alone really strange looking cups that seem not to really entice everyone as the Butterbeer does. This isn't a complaint, just a note on pricepoint you should've taken a cue from Universal if you wanted actual more monies, not just stealing an extra dollar or two from those who bite.
-Kingdom is the best at night.
-Big Thunder!
-Night Cruises!
-Finally got asked if I wanted bumped up to medium on SOTMK. Also, free cards are great. JUST LET ME REWORK THE GAMEEE ALREADDDYYY
-Pirates' cannon splash got me soaked. I've only been soaked on Pirates once in my life, and that was at Disneyland. And you are no Disneyland, sir. No Disneyland.
-That said, Pirates is great. No Moymaids yet
-Other stuff!
-Pictures!
OK, that's about it. On to the pictures and I hope you ENJOY! ^^
