EpcotServo's Updates #2.90- Four For All

Hello everyone, and welcome to an extra-special-fairly-huge-FOUR park Update! Big Update, IT'S SHOWTIME!

STUDIOS

-Crowds mild, weather nice.

-Midway Mania was down most of the day.

-Epic is still a great show

-All the effects working in Muppets

-Pretty Much Pretty (and Such)

EPCOT

-Crowds EMPTY and weather wonderful. SO GREAT.

-Test Track finally has the new vehicles for sale, albeit only 1/64th scale, no larger ones.

-Epcot is wonderfulness

KINGDOM

-Kingdom crowded, weather mild.

-Pirates queue with Fastpass is annoying.

-Mine Train still in the process of being a thing.

-Kingdom is still waaaaaay too much work.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

-Crowds near empty, Weather perfect.

-PLUS ANIMAL KINGDOM AT NIGHT!

-OK, so finally got to try the PaperlessNextgenFastpass Instrumentality Project as it will be implemented, coming in at like 4, going to a kiosk, and seeing what I could get. Got Countdown for 4:45 and Everest for like 6:45, and I have to say it worked great. It's pretty nice to just get your pick of what's left, but needless to say if Soarin' fastpasses sell out six months early than it'll be a major awfulness. For now though, I enjoyed my brief interaction with the Collective though I will never submit for upgrading to the Borg.

-You can see the Yeti at night because your eyes are adjusted, which was nice to see him again.

-If everyone's ok with still loving Haunted Mansion despite the ending being worse than it used to be, I'm still going to go ahead and love Everest for being awesome.

-The band playing at night in Harambe is amazing.

-Everything at Animal Kingdom at night is amazing.

-You're amazing.

-Cookies are amazing as well.

OK, That's about all that stuff. Now for the PhotoVisualStuffs!

ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.70-There and Update Again...

HEY everybody and welcome to another giant Updatestuffs, and before I can get to the getting of it all, we just have to get to it!

ANIMAL KINGDOM

-Weather good, Crowds s'alright

-Steam and both waterfalls working on Everest

-New Zebra finale on the safaris is nice, but not really a finale. Personally I'd like a narrative back.

-Merry DAKmas

STUDIOS

-Weather good, crowds a bit more crowded-er

-Wreck It Ralph meet n' greet seems to be popular

-Fastpass Cubes and new Fastpass Greeter screens on and active

-I have to say, GMR and American Adventure are probably the best total showpieces WDI has ever done.

-New Star Tours still still great, got a great profile. Had a discussion on the MOST cannon ride profile and decided on Han, Podracing, Leia, and Death Star.

-Spectacle is Spectacular

-The turnstiles are gone at Muppets, now just EvilFastpassCubes and a new cheaper looking console.

-Muppets was looking great though, everything was working perfectly except for the burning tires. (Though the effect was on, there was an air pressure release just sans smoke)

-Jack Sparrow is still a really great little show, if you're looking to do it the best time seems to be the evening, during Fantasmic or near closing. Again, videos don't do the show justice, it's all about the loads of great details in the projections and the environment around you. Still not seen the alternate Jack show, every other show has a different part of the show featuring Jack.

EPCOT

-Weather Cloudy, Crowds Crowded to Crowded-er

-New Test Track is open, as as I said last Update it's AMAZING. All the effects were working, and after a delayed opening it was about an hour wait to the design room, and 20 minutes to design and board. The post show still has a few bugs here and there, but is up and running and a load of fun. I seriously love this rehab. It's everything TRON and EPCOT and wonderful. See it, enjoy it.

Speaking of seeing and enjoying-On to the pictures, and...

ENJOY!^^

EpcotServo's Updates #2.58- The Power of Three Parks

Heya everyaaaaaBODY! Ready to Update not one, not two, but THREE parks? Well play a blues riff in B, watch me for the changes, and try to keep up.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

-Crowds were light and weather good at all three parks! YES

-The new finale is shaping up at the Safaris, to be filled with Zebras soonish

-Can we get Countdown all the effects please?

-Both waterfalls at Everest working, no steam, and lots of trees cut to almost nothing. Do not approve.

-The five winds blow through the Animal Kingdom this day!

-ANIMAL KINGDOM IS AWESOME!

STUDIOS

-Got to see the western show on GMR. This is good.

-Wreck it Ralph display at Animation. This is also good.

-RNR preshow is now digital. This was very good.

-Every attraction at Studios now has 3-4 Nextgen Pylons covered up. This was evil.

EPCOT

-No sign of Epcot 30 merch or anything anywhere.

-Strange new big thing blocks up Sea exterior. But they painted it blue anyways...sooooo

-Imagination is closing at 7 again.

-THE LAND! THE LANDSCAPE! They've re-landscaped the Land to mix 2005's natural look with a more trimmed and clean 1982 look. It really looks great. You can see the building, AND there's still trees! Really well done.

-EpcotServo's Updates are made possible by a genreous grant from those who purchase and browse my new EPCOT designs. Please do!

EpcotServo's Updates #2.50- Wild Thing

Hellooooooooo everybody! Time for a big Update proper! Loads of pictures to get too, so let's get to those! Now, that is!

ANIMAL KINGDOM

-Safari was great, many manimals out and about.

-Everest was working pretty great, both waterfalls working and steam as well. Heard many "That was the best ride I've ever been on", which I've only heard from Indy, Forbidden Journey, and Everest. (And I'm sure Journey to the Center of the Earth, in Japanese.)

-I don't care what anyone says, Animal Kingdom is a fantastic theme park. It's got the amazing Safari, the trails which are the *BEST* Animal encounter attractions ever, Expedition Everest-As mentioned above- one of the best thrill rides in the world, it's got Nemo-An incredible Broadway quality show. Could it use a few dark rides, sure-but it's got Countdown and a great water ride and 3-D show. And even better is the most fantastic engineering feat of blending nature and landscapes in harmony with some of the best thematic environments ever made in a Theme Park. AND it has ideals and vision like Epcot. None of this new, but walking in and being able to do those 3 in just a couple hours reminds me of why I still love Animal Kingdom, not even counting all the reasons I HAVE loved Animal Kingdom.

KINGDOM

-Sorcerers has gotten even more popular since last Update. They've also started wrapping in the cards in booster pack style, and randomized the packs. (So instead of getting 1, 2, 3,4 in a pack, you'll get 2, 47, 31, 20, etc.) Also the training screens in the firehouse were gone for some reason. They reset the system and I guess they won't let you skip to medium unless you beat all 11 missions on easy. Which is pointless, since I don't have much interest in doing the same missions over and over again. They need to train Cast to simply ask. Otherwise, including the fact you can power up cards by using them repeatedly,  this will just turn into Grinding: The Ride. People in line merely to do the same thing over and over again to level up. Most people however aren't as interested in the attraction as they are the cards. Which is what I said on Day one: FOCUS ON THE TRADING CARD GAME! TELL people the rules. MAKE a game they can play on a tabletop. SELL them the boosters. Make the attraction a pleasant bonus and way to get people into playing the game. If they're all lined up to buy booster packs and trial decks, it's less people in line waiting to repeat missions over and over. The cards are what everybody loves here.

-The waterfall effect is back at Pirates, but is sadly still an incredibly blurry unintelligible Blackbeard. Bring back Davy Jones ASAP.

-Hat Pirate had Hats.

-The castle wall seems tiny.

-Does it seem tiny?

-I dunno', I think it seems tiny.

-Peoplemover!

-That's it!

OK, on to the pictures!

Enjoy! (^  ^  )

EpcotServo's Updates #2.42- Like Love

Heya everyone and welcome to a long overdue WDW Update! Lots of fun was had, so let's start with the words.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

-Crowds were low to mild.

-Expedition Everest was running the proper 4-train profile and was running perfectly.

-Waterfall B was not working again, Steam was working fine though.

-Brand new Everest merch! Every Winter they get great new stuff in, and now they have some new very cool shirts, including a Himalayan Escapes T-Shirt.

-For all that's made over Everest's missing effects, Countdown has more missing longer that are much more important.

-The chasing Carnotaurus wasn't working so they just turned out all the lights. Either that or just a large section of show lighting was broken. It was kind of weird to have a whole long scene of ride just be complete darkness.

-The Jungle Trek is still pretty spectacular.

STUDIOS

-Crowds were extremely high. Packed, even.

-We just went in to ride Star Tours, so no pictures.

-Seriously, the park was jam-packed.

-STAR TOURS is still AMAZING.

-The Starspeeder 1000 figure-sized vehicle is at Studios! Traders had many of them and they were being seriously gawked over. A cast member at checkout shared a cool tidbit, since this was pretty much the first day they were out. The designer of them actually called in and asked how they were doing! They're already selling like hotcakes. Naturally, all Star Tours fans have been waiting for it for years!

-Did I mention the park was like super-packed?

EPCOT

-Epcot crowds seemed mild.

-Full moon out and great weather!

-It was really pretty as well.

-Fun things are fun!

OK, that's about all for words. Pictures now!

Enjoy!

EpcotServo's Updates #2.35 - 42

Hey there everyone! Welcome to Updatetime, click on to see the update just fine.

DAK

-very hot and very crowded, very hot and crowded, even.

-Everest was running 4 trains on the 5 train system...still scary/bad show.

-But, after exactly WAYYYYY too long, Waterfall B is working again! Yay!

-They're finally selling the shirts from Tashi's Trek and Tongba shop, embroidered "Serka Zong" with the mystic eyes, in orange and red- as well as "Anandapur" with a square seal in blue and light tan. Pricey at $34, with black Expedition Everest on sleeve. Very cool.

KINGDOM

-Hot, Crowded, Rainy! (The Troublesome Trinity)

-Enchanted Tiki Room! Kind of a mixed bag...Liked the pre-show, the return of the classic, and the lack of shrill songs and gimmicks. Kids seemed to like it more than UNM, as there was even applause and clapping along. Dislikes were definitely the severe cutting down of an already cut-down show, and the lack of Enchanted Fountain. On their own, one would be fine, but both of them makes it a big minus. Really the biggest highlight, and positive is the lack of Under New Management. I always knew it was bad, but never realized just how much it was ruining the whole attraction...I mean, it was packed, and people were enjoying it way more.

-Pirates! Blackbeard sucks. It's awful. Mumbly blurry lovejoy. Bring back Davy's awesome face and most importantly, the fantastic voice of BILL NIGHY! Also, Hat Pirate is missing his hats again.

-Angular Kids! The new Mansion queue is still awful. At the splitoff everyone is confused...And the only way cast members can describe is "It's kind of an interactive thing". Seriously. Mansion Butlers and Maids using the word interactive...And if that isn't bad enough, the hitch-hiking ghosts are gone and all that's there is a screen. (Seriously, the projector seams are awful, how can they not be calibrated to be seamless?) For a wonderful brief time we had the best Mansion in the world. Now, we have the worst. Sad, really.

-Fantasyland! Is filled with dirt and construction and stuff. Dumbo's building and tent is really coming along, it's pretty much fully built, just needs to be sealed up and Dumbothings built.

-Shopping! Emporium had some Tronorails, and so did Once upon a Toy. I'm sure other stores have them too, limited quantities though. They only have like 8 or so out on shelves there, and only 3 at Kingdom...My guess is they don't have that many and just restock them at the end of the day.

-Peoplemover! I like riding it!

-That's all!

OK, that's about it, on to the pictures!

Enjoy!
