EpcotServo's June 24th STUDIOS/EPCOT Update: Overcast Sunset

Hey there! Time for a reallybig updateshow, this time featuring: EPCOT!

Remember?

The park with the ball and the countries?

Yea, It's been awhile. Crowds were pretty heavy, but there's still LOTS of pictures, so let's get right down to it!

STUDIOS

-The shop, cafe, and Meet N' Greet are all now open. Save for a few finishing touches I'm sure they'll be making in the months ahead, Pixar Place is open and ready for business!

-Narnia 2 is soft opening. What I thought: Meh...the set is more interesting, but it's still a big waste of time. Here's how it goes...First you enter and watch a TV saying blah, blah, blah, it was hard to do, blah, blah. Then you enter "Aslan's Howtoloseaguyintendays" and all stand around the stonehenge. After a booming-voice-guy talks about Narnia, some fakeflames (Think really tiny versions of the Pirates' fire) light up below all the screens. Then he says "Let's go to the clip..." and they sum up the whole movie. Just like the old one, they show you so much of the movie and the plot that when it's all over you have NO interest in seeing the movie at all because they summed it all up enough for you to not care at all as to what happens in between the clips.

The "grand finale" is when the clips become real, and the white witch appears. This is the coolest part, as they have a neat fog effect beneath the screen. After a few short seconds that are kind of neat, it goes right back into clipmode and then it all ends with Prince Carpathian being turned into a Milk Chocolate Hershey bar.

The End!

EPCOT

-Firstoff, the bus driver called it EPCOT Center! You go Bus Driver!

-The Paperboy is still M.I.A., but the Music Makers are back!

-A big new, what appears to be, ODV stand popped up near China. I think (but don't quote me on this) it's meant to tide guests over whilst Nine Dragons is closed for refurb. I guess we won't know until the stand is open.

-They've added plaques on the paintings in American Adventure's lobby to give proper credit to the Imagineers who painted them. Great job!

-The Camera some of you super-spies may remember from the Kim Possible game has returned. That's a sure confirmation that this awesome thing is coming back!

OK, that's all. Now on to all the pictures!

Enjoy!

Snoozing Studios.

A gangster and gansterette out for a morning stroll.

Waiting at Alfred Hitchcok's Rope Drop.

The HANES sponsorship is starting to show! (Cover you shame!.......with HANES!) These "concert" tees are now hanging up throughout the waiting area for the pre show.

Buy more t-shirts!

Everyody loves Midway Mania!

The Hey-Howdy-Hey-Take-Away will serve-up-snacks-yum.

It's working! cool beans. Here's a videofilm!

Do you have Sea of strollers blue?

Just another Midway Morning at Pixar Place.

"Narnia: Journey into Dismal Earnings" is almost ready (on the outside at least), I saw many imagineers/managers/big wigs checking the place out.

OK, that's all folks! Thanks for watching this mini-updatepage-update!
Good night, and good luck!

EpcotServo's June 6th STUDIOS Update: Weekend Warriors!

Heya everyabody! It's time once again for the geekdom that never ends, at Star Wars Weekends! yay! Lots going on yesterday, and tons of pictures, so let's get started!

STUDIOS

-So as far as Star Wars Weekends 08' goes: It's pretty much the same stuff as every year. The Autograph sessions are the same. The meet and greets are now mostly by Muppets and Star Tours instead of on Mickey Ave. The Stars of the Saga now takes place in the old/new hunchback theatre. The main shop is in the soundtage next to Midway Mania. The logo for this one is cute: but not as cool as the old faded poster design I loved from the 07' weekends. Overall I'd say that I enjoyed last year more, in my honest opnion. I think it may just be bcause of all the "Clone Wars" promos. I have a very bad feeling about that...

-Hunchback theatre! They did a really good job making it indoors. The seats are actually very cozy, and the AC helps a ton. There's plenty of seating, and should serve it's place well. My major complaint is the fact that the waiting area is BONE DRY of any shade, fans, or Air Conditioning. Waiting for an hour in direct sunlight is NOT FUN. They need to install some shade coverings, fans, and benches ASAP.

-Midway Mania! Still going well. Fastpass is still slowing standby WAYYYYY down, but Fastpass was never as backed up as before.

-A new pin set of the Midway Mania prizes came out for a hefty $29 price.

-the Indiana Mickey figure is out as well!

OK, that's it. On to all the pictures!

Enjoy!

EpcotServo's May 31st STUDIOS Update: Open Mania!

Hey there! Got some pictures from yesterday, so without further stalling, here they are! first the newsabits...

STUDIOS

-Midway Mania is OPEN! All sneek preview signs are down, and Fastpass is running. If you want to ride this ride, do so in the first hour or so! Anytime else you may be in for a wait. even if you have Fastpasses! If the Fastpass line is out the door, or full of people at all, leave Standby ASAP. If you don't, you're in for a LOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG wait due to how long it'll take Fastpass to get through.

I love this ride, but PLEASE remove Fastpass and keep Single Riders. (which works well, but if the Fastpass line is, again, out the door, fugedaboutit. They won't let you in.)

-Got my personal best score yesterday...189,700!

-Hunchback theatre progress is pretty good.

-no Idol progress.

-Epic was running Fastpass. not usual.

-Crowds were medium to light.

OK, that's all....

(Remember, as usual, Midway Mania pictures inside if you're still skipping spoilers.)

Enjoy!
