EpcotServo's September 24th Update: Artsy Pictures! ("Il Artsy Del Updataa, TO GO.")

Hello there everybody! Yesterday I did a quick run around Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (Wanted to take a few last WDW rides before headin' off to Disneyland.) and since there wasn't much going on', I choose to take a bunch of artsy shots today. So before the pictures, let's get to the newsstuffs...

Magic Kingdom

-Crowds weren't too bad. Medium at best.

-The grooms' heads still aren't dissapearing in mansion. Everything else still looks good.

-It looks like some restaraunts have new Halloween themed drink cups. Nice!

Animal Kingdom

-Looked like just about everything was working on Everest. Only thing I noted not working is Waterfall B and the yet-to-be-really-fixed lighting in the fortress.

-Some new T-Shirts in Serka Zong Bazzar. The best one, and the only one I bought, is a T-shirt with the Shadow of the Yeti scene on the front, and the Expedition Everest logo on the back. Others include...

"Take a Hike" with snowy boot prints on the front.

A picture of a mine cart that says Expedition Everest on it, that says "That's how I Roll" around it. Might have been good had the train been on it, and not some random mine cart.

A nice kid's design with the Yeti on it that says "A Yeti ate my Homework."

-The Yak and Yeti is coming along rather well, and will look great I'm sure.

Ok, that's about it. Enjoy!

Alright, there you go. This will be the last normal Update until the October 1st EPCOT Update. (Though you can hardly call that normal! )

Now tomorrow morning I'm off to the grand state of California to gather thousands of photographs for my MASSIVE four-part Disneyland Update. Since I can't stop updating, I'll be sending LIVE Disneyland pictures straight to http://www.epcotservoupdate.blogspot.com/ ! Kind of like you'll be with me the whole way! That about wraps everything up, thanks for tuning in!

EpcotServo's LIVE Updates!

Good news everyone! I'm launching a brand new feature for EpcotServo's UpdatePage! It's EpcotServo's LIVE Updates! Whilst I am collecting Fotos, for your viewing pleasure, I can now use my cell phone to give you LIVE photos of the parks! Using Insta-Update Technolgy devolped by Muppet Labs Update-Tech, I'll be sending live pictures directly from my Tricorder (AKA Cell Phone) back to the U.S.S Enterprise (AKA EpcotServo's UpdatePage.) for you to see what I'm up too. And to break in this bold new era of updating tech, I'll start by sending you LIVE (And I can't stress the LIVE part enough.) pictures of Disneyland to tide you over while I'm away. Plus, look for LiveUpdates on October 1st as well! To see a test of what these live updates will look like, take a look below this post to see a live look at what Magic Kingdom looked like today. (And for those of you who fear or hate new things, look for a normal Update tonight!)

I(MAX), Robot

So what's better than GIANT ROBOTS? Easy. GIANT ROBOTS ON AN IMAX SCREEN! For those of you who don't know, the Transformers movie is now playing in IMAX. The picture and sound are great, and it's amazing how much detail you miss in ILM's amazing animation. Seeing it in IMAX, you really catch all the detail and what exactly is going on in the intense final battle. Sure you still have to groan your way past the human scenes, and the Bay-ness of it all, but it's worth it hear the booming voice of Optimus Prime on an AMAZING sound system, over the screaming sound of twisted metal while flame and giant robots fill most of your vision!

Go see Transformers in IMAX now!

EpcotServo's September 15th MK Update: Spirited Away

Hello happy haunts, and welcome to a mostly-mansion update from regions beyond...AKA: Magic Kingdom. Got lots of ghostly things to talk about, so please, step all the way in...There's no turning back now...

-First off, this morning was an Extra Morning Hour, and I want to thank all those nice people who got past the room key check by saying "They are going to Epcot" only to ride right around the loop and get back off at the TTC, to skip ahead of all the people waiting to get in. I'm not one to gripe about using loopholes to your advantage...but come on. That's just downright rude.

-Once the rope at Liberty Square dropped, the main crowd came face-to-face with another large crowd standing on the FantasyLand side. What followed could only be compared to that of the first wave of Xerses' troops smashing against the Spartans from "300". It came to a complete stop, than madness ensued. After much ado, I FINALLY was in line.

-Ok, let me be honest. The Haunted Mansion is now greater than all get out. Do not try to even attempt to be as amazing as it is right now, for you will mearly fail. The Mansion will scoff at your attempt to reach it's cool-ness factor. I was blown away by it, and still came out dazzled the fifth time around. Now photos, videos, and even words do not do it justice. It's more than "Oh look at that.". It's more like "Where's my old outdated and broken Haunted Mansion, and what have you done with it?". It gave me lots of goosebumps, and I heard more than a few giddy geek laughs of joy. (Myself included.) I'll give you run down, but first let me say that if you are going to be going on the Mansion again anytime soon, DO NOT READ THIS.

CRAZY SPOILERS WARNING

CRAZY SPOILERS WARNING

CRAZY SPOILERS WARNING

You're still with me aren't you eager beaver? Well, don't say I didn't warn you about spoilers.

Foyer

The wooden walls look better, and as stated elsewhere, the changing portrait is now working as perfect as it should. Sound improved.

Strech Room

AMAZING. First favorite part, the sliding doors make a great closing sound and you can hear it lock in place. (Like a secret door should sound!) The Ghost Host's moving effect is great, and it really feels like he's in the room with you. (even behind you!) The whole room looks great with new paint and LED lighting, and it has new show timing and much, much, more that words cannot surmise.

Load area

They've changed the color of the wallpaper, moved some of the sinister 11 pictures here. They gave it a great cobwebbing too. It looks much better now! They also re-carpeted the area before the speedramp, added walls near the track, and console systems updated.

Changing Portait hall

Great! They even move the doombuggys so you can see them better. A little bit o' Disneyland in WDW!

Staircases to nowhere

I'm SO glad that we have a great WDW-only room! The ghost footprints are classic, and there's tons of detail.

The Watching Wallpaper

I think my favorite new addition. When I first saw some blinking eyes, I was like "Wha?". Then when I saw that this was a new, brillant, and creepy transtion to the classic hallway wallpaper, I laughed with joy! Great Imagineering can be sneaky sometimes!

Floating Leota

Looks great, but the best parts are that the projection dosen't look grainy (Digtal rocks!), the table no longer looks tacky, and the instruments finally look like they float again. (AND you can see them again!)

Ballroom

The lighting is VASTLY improved and you can see the deatil in the figures again.

Attic

Whilst the headless pictures weren't working (can't wait to see them work!), the bride is VERY cool, and is VERY creepy! The attic looks great now, as it is full of new props and cobwebs.

Hitchhiking Ghosts

They move again, and look see-through once more!

Little Leota

After years of a sad, grainy projection. The figure has been replaced, and has a great digtal projection.

Also-all audio has been re-mastered and sounds great, lots of new lighting, and you can feel hot and cold running chills once more! Five stars, and two thumbs WAY up for this refurb.

-Laugh Floor did one of my FAVORITE acts they used to do in the testing stage. more details in update. Buddy Boil also had a funny new act.

-Halloween decorations look great!

-They were doing Dining surveys on the way out of the park, in the package pick-up building.

Ok, that's it for the rundown! And now for the pictures! Enjoy and hurry back...

EpcotServo's September 3rd EPCOT Update: No wand after Labor Day!

Hello again everybody, and welcome to a huge EPCOT Update, that I think you'll really like! So before we get to the loads of pictures, here's the Newsstuffs...

-They didn't open the parking lot until 8 for some reason. I don't remember that being the case.

-The Wand is how you say..."Outta' here". The wand's final words were "Tough crowd...Tough crowd."

-The Square plants on the ex-wand side are gone. replaced with palm trees.

-Labor Day crowds weren't bad. I walked on everything at diffrent times of the day.

-I was passing through Innoventions West, and I noticed that the Kidcot spot there was themed to Kim Possible. Then I saw the large portion of the building under rehab. Then the thought struck me. Won't the Kim Possible game's HQ and ending have a good place in innoventions? Makes sense to me...

-Saw the new O, Canada! I liked it. Very good and pretty funny. Liked pretty much everything Corey Burton said at the start of the film. Does anyone know if the good new score and new version of the song "Canada, you're a lifetime journey" will be released in the 08 Album? I'd like to have them.

-I found the new Disney Star Wars action figures at MouseGear.

-The yellow EPCOT Center shirt was sold out again.

-Also, there is now a Gran Fiesta Tour T-shirt. (Picture included.)

-They had to restage my group on Mission: Space. Very annoying now that they have only TWO bays doing the REAL ride.

-Test Track was stop-and-go when I rode it.

Ok, that's it. Enjoy the pictures!
